Guided tour to Kolomenskoye – a former royal estate and one of the most picturesque and enjoyable of Moscow’s out-of-town attractions.
During the excursion you will see archaeological monuments that testify to the people of the Stone Age (V-III millennium BC). There was a grand summer residence, a kind of “Moscow Kremlin” in the ages of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich. Researchers consider Kolomna Palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich as the top of Russian wooden architecture. To the unique exhibits of Kolomenskoye should be attributed monuments of wooden architecture of the XVII-XVIII centuries. Also the Church of the Ascension, The majestic tent church is considered the “pearl” of Kolomna – it is a monument included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
On the territory of the Kolomenskoye Museum-Preserve there are many other permanent and temporary exhibitions that can be visited for a fee.
