St. Isaac’s Cathedral – one of the largest cathedrals in the world, a grandiose structure. On the roof of the cathedral the colonnade is open for visiting, and the panaromic view of St. Petersburg on all four sides is visible from it.
Church of the Savior on Blood – built on the site of the murder of Alexander 2 in the 1881, a beautiful, fabulous nine-domed temple. The interior of the cathedral is a real mosaic museum, which you can watch for hours. This is one of the largest collections in Europe.
Dresscode to visit the cathedrals: closed shoulders and knees. Shorts and T-shirts are not allowed. Comfortable shoes.
